There are a lot of hotels around Termini - Hotel Cambridge should be near the bottom of your list. {3 stars}

Hotel Cambridge enjoys a strategic location in central Rome, in the immediate vicinity of the Termini railway station (4 blocks), ensuring quick and easy access.

Thatís the good part.

Itís threadbare inside but thatís normal near Termini. There is an elevator and the staff do speak English. The rooms are normal sized for Italian hotels, but the bathrooms are smaller than average. The shower has no shower curtains and it is impossible to shower without getting water all over the floor. The room was clean.

On the Venere website, they advertise individually controlled air-conditioning. That part is true, but what they donít tell you is that only tepid air comes out of the air conditioner. Lucky for us it wasnít really warm the one night we stayed there; we could open the window. We are not light sleepers so all the noise from around Termini did not keep us awake.

Breakfast was OK as far as Italian continental breakfasts go.

The room was 90 euros, which is not bad for May in Rome. The problem was that I was billed twice for the one night that we stayed there. It definitely wasnít worth 180 euros. My credit card company is working on getting my 90 euros back.
