Maranello: Hotel Domus

Piazza Liberta 38, Phone: 0536.941071

When: April 2004

Great place to stay while visiting Maranello and the Ferrari Museum.

There are just a few hotels in Maranello, and I think the Hotel Domus is the best choice. We were there for just one night to experience the Ferrari Museum and hear the Ferraris race down the street every so often.

The hotel is located in the center of town so you can walk to the museum and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even called the airport for us when our luggage was MIA. The room was basic but fine for one night. The rate was 98 euros and included breakfast.

The hotel is affiliated with Best Western, but I was not able to make a reservation through their website. Their e-mail address is: domus.mo@bestwestern.it

Although the hotel states that they have a parking lot for guests, be warned that it is very tiny and only holds about 5 cars. We were told to double park our car for the night, but then we were called at 7 AM to move our car. The hotel apologized for the inconvenience, but you may want to find an alternative place to park if the lot is full. Parking in the piazza across the street was not an option, according to the staff.
