Beautiful balcony views overlooking Lake Como in the center of Bellagio. {3 stars}

We stayed at the three star Hotel Du Lac in Bellagio, situated on Lake Como with stunning views, for three nights from 2 April 2005.

It was very quiet (maybe because we were on the fourth floor) despite being on the waterfront and having a lively atmosphere along the street.

There are 48 rooms and the location of this hotel was ideal. We were in Room 45, and there were three of us. Our suite contained a hairdryer, air conditioning - which we didn‘t need to use, a telephone, minibar and satellite TV. It was very comfortable. Our room had a balcony from which the views were wonderful as it is right on the edge of the lake. Our suite was at the front of the hotel, my sister and her husband had the bedroom with the balcony and I had the double sofa bed in the living room behind them.

The room rate for a Superior Room with balcony (suite) was €210 per night plus €8 for the car to be kept in a nearby garage. This included a good buffet breakfast.

Right outside the hotel is the ferry for Villa Carlotta at Tremezzo across the lake. We bought return tickets on the ferry to the villa for €12.50.

There is a rooftop lounge for relaxing and the restaurant appeared quite popular. The staff were responsive and helpful. I recommend that you ask for a room with a balcony to ensure you get the view over Lake Como. I would definitely stay here again.
