A really friendly family run hotel with great cooking in a charming village in the Abruzzo National Park.

If you are looking for this hotel in the Via San Giovanni, the 'main' street of Opi, keep your eyes well up to your right - it's easy to miss.

Opi is the nearest village to the beeautiful val Fondillo, where you can take a really EASY scenic walk in the National Park.

The Fresilia is a delightful hotel where all the family are so very friendly. Their teenage daughter is quite proficient in English at school and will help if you have a problem with language.

The only snag is that every walk ends uphill. You can minimise your uphill walking if you take a copy of the bus timetable. Get it from Arpaonline using buses from Castel di Sangro or Pescasseroli, depending on which direction you want. Not all buses between these two towns go up to Opi so be sure to use Opi as your destination.
