Hotel Giappone is a wonderful place to stay, it is in the central historic district and is a short walk to the train or bus station and the airport shuttle bus

I have stayed at the Hotel Giappone many times. It is close to everything one would want to see in Florence. It is close to the train and bus but more importantly it is close to the airport shuttle bus that costs 6 euro as opposed to a 25 euro cab ride.

The hotel is clean and nicely appointed, and the rooms are cleaned daily. They have reasonable prices to fit all budgets and family sizes. The hotel is very quiet and sleep comes easy in the comfortable beds after a day of sightseeing.

It is truly the place to stay in Florence; restaurants, shopping, cafes all just outside the door. A short walk leads you to all the historic sites where you can walk the same streets as Michelangelo and Dante. The famous central market is nearby where you can haggle to get the best prices on Florentine leather goods as well as souvenirs. The huge food market is also in the same area where you can browse and buy goods as well as eat in the market.

The owner and staff of the hotel are very accommodating and will gladly help you with whatever you need, whether it be directions to a monument or something you need in your room.

I have been going to Florence for 10 years and once I found Hotel Giappone I always go there.
