A pleasant hotel on a busy street. Off season, it was one of the few still open. {4 stars}

Few hotels were open in October in this beach resort, so choices were limited. L'Approdo is a 4 star and you can get breakfast only, half or full board. We chose breakfast only for E90 per night.

We took a room with a view of the bay, which also meant it overlooked the main road. We figured that it was off-season enough to be quiet, but it was also Saturday night. We had to keep the balcony doors open to get fresh air and there was street noise all night. Although there is a thermostat, we did not find a way to control the air conditioning.

The room has basic white formica with wood trim furniture. There is plenty of closet space and adequate lighting. Comfortable matrimoniale bed. There is a small balcony with two chairs. The bedroom and bathroom have green tiled floors. The bathroom has a tub with shower and shower curtain. The TV gets CNN and German stations in addition to the regular Italian ones.

We took a walk after dinner and passed the Hotel Miramare, which we thought had already closed so we hadn't checked out. It is in a nicer location than the L'Approdo, on a quiet street facing the sea, and it looked quite nice.
