The staff at the Hotel Marlene were very nice and helpful. The price is right and the location was convenient, with a bus stop just around the corner and a train station within a 10 minute walk. Cons included feeling the springs on the bed when I slept and loud late-night arguing on one out of my two night stay - probably from outside, but it was hard to tell. The neighborhood is within the "red light district," and I did see a couple of "ladies of the night," but as a single person, I never felt threatened or unsafe. I would personally choose a different location next time, but if price and convenience are what you're looking for and you are on a budget, then this might be worth considering.
