This is the oldest hotel in Bellagio and I consider it a gem. The view from our balcony was spectacular.

The Hotel Metropole is the oldest hotel in Bellagio. It has been very well maintained and modernized to offer everything we could have wanted for the time of year we were there.

A breakfast buffet consisting of breads, cereals, fruits, boiled eggs, juices and coffee served in the dining room, overlooking Lake Como was a great way to start the day.

The hotel also offered one hour free use of WiFi each day in the lobby if you have your own laptop.

I can't say enough about how pleasant all of the employees of this hotel were to us, from the gelato guy to the receptionists and the waiters. They made our stay really special.

Our room was a double, front view of Lake Como with a balcony. It was exactly as expected. The room is an adequate size with a small tv, small table and chairs, a mini bar (that you can put your own drinks in), and a hairdryer. The bathroom is very modern with tub and glass enclosure.

The balcony is small with 2 chairs. The view of Lake Como, the ferries and the mountains is amazing. This was a place to relax. There are several restaurants and shops right outside the hotel door. The hotel has its own gelato shop that closes up for the season on September 30th.

I must make you aware that the ferries are very noisy with the balcony doors open. I didn't hear anything from them with the doors closed.

I would stay at this hotel again if I went in the spring or fall because it has only a ceiling fan and no air conditioning.

A lovely hotel in Bellagio on a peninsula jutting into Lake of Como. {3 star}

A lovely 3 star hotel in a quaint little town, Bellagio, on a peninsula jutting into Lake of Como. The room was overlooking the lake and hotel's roof garden - spectacular. The hotel is in a piazza full of shops & cafes, in the centre of the town. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room looking directly at the lake. A great location, with plenty to do or just relax.
