A clean, quiet place to stay near Termini, a very easy walk to the Leonardo Express; convenient for a short stay while in transit through Rome. {3 stars}

The hotel is located about a block from Santa Maria Maggiore and just a few blocks from the "Ala Termini" side of Termini station, making it very convenient for transportation in and out of Rome. The neighborhood is definitely not glamorous, but didn't feel at all unsafe to us.

The room seemed relatively spacious by Roman standards: we booked a double but were placed in a triple, with a double bed, a single bed, and a couch in addition to a writing desk and mini-fridge. The bathroom was small but clean and had a tub/shower.

We asked for the quietest room available, and weren't disappointed - soundproofing was excellent, making street noise pretty much inaudible. One potential drawback was that the room was quite dark, with shutters that didn't open; but we really weren't spending time there except to sleep anyway, so this didn't matter to us. The air conditioning worked well.

Breakfast looked uninspiring (corn flakes and packaged pastries); we chose to go out for fresher pastries and coffee at the cafe facing Santa Maria Maggiore instead.
