A comfortable and convenient base in the Centro Storico. {3 stars}

People are always looking for a decent and affordable room well-located in the Centro Storico, and this is an option. Hotel Navona is about halfway between the Piazza Navona and the nearby Pantheon. It's right around the corner from the Sant' Eustachio square.

The lobby is on the second floor. Public areas are not great - a little small, a little dated. However, there are enough pluses, other than the great location, to inspire me to recommend it.

First of all, the staff is friendly and helpful. The room (we had room #1) was quite large by Rome standards. It was also clean, quiet and comfortable. It was hot in Rome, and the air conditioning kept the room cool and quiet.

I enjoyed the generous storage space, the room to move around, and the little desk. We would stay there again. This hotel is related, as you will see on their website, to the Residenza Zanardelli.

We stayed at the Residenza in 2004, and though we loved our room, we didn't find the desk helpful or the breakfast room use-able. The Hotel Navona offered us a much better experience.
