Perfect location; charming atmosphere. Roof-top terrace; room with a balcony and beautiful view. Lovely private courtyard for breakfast. {3 star}

This hotel was most charming. With its majestic palm trees at the entrance, we immediately felt we were in a special place. It is only 5 minutes from the train station.

We had requested a room with a view, and we were very pleased with a small balcony where we could sit and watch the streets below. We could also see the deep blue water of the sea. The room was small, but we knew we would hardly be in the room other than to sleep. We had lots to see and do while in the Cinque Terre.

The bathroom was tiny, but very good water pressure. We could walk up one flight to the roof-top terrace and enjoy our coffee in the morning, or perhaps our evening glass of wine. The terrace overlooked the main piazza. This was not a fancy terrace - but there were nice chairs, flowering vines, and potted plants. The courtyard was our favorite place. Huge umbrellas on marble-topped tables.

The breakfast buffet was so bountiful, we were amazed. Fantastic coffee. There was a sitting room that looked like a living room in a fine hotel. Elegant, but comfy. People often sat in there to take a break, do some reading, or visitng with one another. There is a lovely dining room for dinner - you have the option to sign up to have dinner in the evening. We ate out every night.

The front desk people were very gracious, and happy to assist. They had all the info we needed for the Cinque Terre experience. We would stay here again, without a doubt.

You can walk out the front door, straight up the street for two blocks, and be at the water's edge. The Cinque Terre trail entrance is down at the beach area, but we walked up to the train station to head out each day.

There are many little shops and restaurants in the town. Great seafood, and great pizza. It has a beach resort feel to it. We paid 135 per night, which included breakfast. Money well spent.
