Friendly family run hotel near San Marco. {2 star}

My sister and I stayed at Hotel Orion during our 3 week stay in Italy. The walls were thin, and they provided the typical Italian breakfast, but it is in a very good location -- near the stores and St. Mark's. Somehow you don't hear the noise (or at least we didn't). We walked almost everywhere, even though we had purchased the 3-day water bus pass and it was a bit cold in Venice.

The rooms are clean, and considering your location, pretty spacious. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and went out its way to make us feel at home. (No elevators, I think.)
