Great room size at a great price in a decent location. {3 stars}

We had room 42 which was a triple - a double with a single against the wall. The room was quite good size. The bathroom was modern with both a normal shower and a tub. The room had a small television, safe and wardrobe. Everything was clean. The hotel has a very small elevator.

This 3 star hotel is located about a five-minute walk from the Duomo which is just enough to be out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to get to things quickly. Service was friendly and helpful and the triple was only €152 for a Saturday night.

An elegant small hotel situated within walking distance of most of the sights.

Florence offered cooler weather, a smaller area of main must-sees, and the Hotel Orto d'Medici, small but elegant, full service hotel with all the amenities. My favorite was the huge bath tub, which got much use soaking overworked limbs and revitalizing all the parts making a new person ready for more exploration.

The hotel's staff was friendly and most helpful. The breakfast was elegantly served either inside or out on the terrace. Breakfast consisted of a substantial selection of foods and enough to assuage all palates.

Location, location -- the hotel was within a short walking distance of most of the main sights. I loved it here and would return in a heartbeat!!!
