Location, service, then location again... {3 star}

Depending on what you seek, Albergo Paganelli (€192/night, bed and continental breakfast) may be the best value/location combination in town or, if you don't like crowds, placed in the heart of a too busy area of Venice.

We loved it because regardless how you get into Venice, the Albergo is accessible from any vaporetto or Alilaguna stop.

Once at the door of the Albergo, you are about 100-200 yards from Piazza San Marco. The vaporetti stop in front of the hotel and this allows you to get back to the hotel and then go out again easily.

The rooms are more than adequate, the hotel staff is always available, the continental breakfast plentiful and varied, the cappuccini or coffees very good. The family Paganelli and Marco and Mario at the front desk make good hosts and we already booked for a return in 2003!
