The Hotel Pierre is very recommended because of its perfect location, highly attentive and personable staff, spotless and lovely decor! {4 stars}

We spent four nights at the Hotel Pierre in mid-March and left convinced we had chosen the perfect accommodation---lovely hotel, fabulous location, superb staff at a great value! We paid 147 USD/night (approx. 122) which reflects the 4th night free.

I am a Travel Agent and Reservation Sales Manager for a major worldwide hotel chain. I researched and found a wonderful air/hotel deal I could not pass up. We received the 4th night free here, lowering an already very reasonable rate for the Hotel Pierre.

We loved this hotel for so many reasons. Every staff person we came upon offered professional, courteous and enthusiastic service...from the Front Desk to the lobby bar to the breakfast room to housekeeping. The filled umbrella stand near the front door was a lovely and thoughtful touch that fortunately we had no need for during our sunny stay.

The location was more than we could have asked for: very central and mere minutes from the Arno and Ponte Vecchio to the south, the Duomo to the north, Piazza della Signoria and Uffizi Gallery to the east; around the corner from the outdoor Mercato del Porcellino Nuovo; next to a travel agency handy for purchasing train tickets; up the block from the main Post Office; yet on a short, quiet block.

The standard Deluxe room faced another room across a small courtyard, but privacy was not a problem and the location was very quiet with windows open all night. The Superior rooms across the hall face the street, have larger bathrooms with separate bath and shower, and an extended sitting area and cost an additional 40/night.

A welcome change from our brioche, juice and coffee breakfast in Rome was the included breakfast with scrambled eggs, meats and cheeses, fruits, breakfast breads and pastries and delicious and fresh juice choices. Oh and coffee was OK (American style), but cappuccino and espresso were available on request.

We both noted how every inch of this hotel was sparkling clean! Our room was very comfortably set up and a pleasure to return to each evening. Now if only something can be done with Italian TV. One news show had a camera looking over the shoulder of a "reporter" reading yellow highlighted excerpts from a newspaper. Variety shows, uniformly horrible, abound. I would love someone to explain the show Super Trambusto! to me :-)

I will heartily recommend the Hotel Pierre to my clients and look forward to my next stay there (hopefully next year)!
