Charming Hotel in the Chiaia shopping district. {3 star}

This charming, small 16 room hotel is located on the 4th and 5th floors of an attractive building in the upscale shopping area of Naples, the Chiaia. Located 2 blocks away from the metro, it was a good location for our very brief 1 night stay in Napoli before fying back home.

Arriving at 11 am before our rooms were ready, the friendly, English speaking staff took care of our bags so we could sightsee. When we checked in later in the day, we found a very pretty room, average-sized by European standards, decorated in period furniture (1800's), with a comfortable bed and very clean modern bathroom. We had opted for a 5th floor seaview room, but it was really a view of rooftops with the Bay of Naples in the distance. I do not think it is worth the extra euros for that view (plus I was spoiled coming from Praiano views). The room had satellite TV, a safe (that I wish I had used), a well stocked refrigerator and AC if needed for an extra €11 a night.

We opened up the breakfast room at 7 am and had very good coffee, blood OJ and a fresh croissant.

The only negative about this hotel,(and I feel bad mentioning it because I am not 100% sure), is that after I left the hotel, I noticed that I was missing a fair amount of cash. All of the dollars and euros with nothing else missing from my wallet; I can't think of any other place that it could have been taken. I had left my pocketbook in our locked room when we went out to dinner the night before.

This does not discourage me from recommending this hotel as it was truly lovely for the money and location; just make sure you use the safe for your valuables if you stay there.
