Great things are worth waiting for... {3 stars}

Taking time out poolside and at the beach were high on my priorities when I arrived at this cute family hotel on the Island of Ischia. Instead, I found a whole new level of friendly hospitality coupled with the most delicious home cooked Italian food.

I was able to relax on my terrace that had the most amazing sea and sunset views, then head down to the restaurant every evening where I ate some incredible food, drank Papa's beautiful homemade wine, and enjoyed the hospitality of the owners and other guests. I even learnt how to cook some amazing Italian dishes.

I also spent a day at the Negomobo Spas which was THE most relaxing time I had on my holiday.

Depending on the season, rates at Poggio are around 35 euros and dinner in the restaurant from 5 euros.

It is a 3 Star Hotel but I would give it 5 stars purely on the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners and staff.
