Repubblica - Termini: Hotel Ranieri

When: February 2008

Comfortable hotel, easy 10 minute walk from Termini, but out of the “Termini” neighbourhood.

Hotel: Reception is on ground floor, with elevator to reach rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have maps to give out and they sell bus tickets. There is a lounge on the ground floor with wireless internet and a computer for guest’s use.

We booked directly through the hotel website, and paid by credit card on check-out.

Room: Clean and bright, beds good quality and comfortable. We had a triple room, two twin sized beds and one comfortable single sofa bed. Good shower in bathroom and lots of towels. Our room was ready for us when we arrived before noon.

Breakfast: Nice breakfast room on lower floor, with self-serve breakfast buffet. Juice, cereal, yogurt, cheese and meat and as well as cornetti and a coffee machine.

Location: We enjoyed the area, even though we were only there for one night. There are plenty of stores and restaurants, and bus stop close by. We walked to the Piazza Barberini area, and it was an easy walk to Termini the next day when we left.

We found a great Napoletana Pizza Restaurant a few blocks away on Via Piave – La Forno Della Soffitto. Fantastic Pizza, and open late.

We recommend this hotel and would stay there again if we need to be close to the train station.
