Across the Arno, in a more residential section of Florence, this very good 3 star hotel served us well for our stay. Plus, only a 5 minute walk to the Uffizi!

We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night in late September. Considering other places we looked, €150 a night seemed pretty reasonable for what we got in this 3 star hotel. The hotel is a taxi ride from the train station, and outside of the "downtown" touristy area. This is exactly what we were looking for in a hotel.

Across the Arno, and right near the Ponte alle Grazie, the Uffizi is only a 5 minute walk - other sites are certainly not far. A highlight was the incredibly accommodating hotel staff which helped us find an amazing place for dinner and also secured us reservations for the Accademia and Uffizi. It is also right near the stairs to Piazzale Michelangelo, and close to the Piazza de' Pitti and Boboli Gardens. We highly recomend a stay at this place, slighty off the beaten path - and thankfully away for all of the tourists just like us!
