Villa Elda is a charming, comfortable, quiet, clean B&B with an extremely friendly manager and staff. Location just outside Siena city wall is superb. {3 stars}

We loved the Villa Elda, run by the charming and helpful English-speaking Giorgia and her excellent, friendly staff.

The lovely old villa is named for her mother Elda and has been in the family for generations. The eleven guest rooms are clean, bright, airy and very comfortably outfitted with everything you might need. If you are not up to climbing stairs (no lift) then ask for a ground floor room. We had a third floor room with a fantastic view of the old city and the local leafy green residential neighborhood.

Bathrooms updated, immaculate, with clean towels every day and great water pressure in the shower.

A breakfast with eggs, cereal, cornetti, fruit, yogurt ... plus cappuccino, orange juice, etc., is served in the breakfast room or in the lovely garden, weather permitting. There is a rooftop veranda as well with a nice view.

Even though Villa Elda is not inside the city walls, it is definitely in short (and interesting) walking distance of all the Siena sights and restaurants. It is also very quiet at night. If you are there on a Wednesday, be sure to experience the nearby outdoor market.

I cannot think of a single negative aspect of Villa Elda! I would recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay there again.
