Great hotel close to the train station. {4 stars}

I stayed at the Mercure Crystal Palace for five nights in mid-October 2009. I booked it mainly because of the good rate (EUR 75 for a single room in a four star hotel seemed like a good deal!) and because of the great reviews I found on other sites.

I was very pleased with the hotel, it is recently renovated and I found it very clean and inviting. I had a good sized single room with a twin-size bed, a very nice bathroom, and tall double doors leading out to a nice balcony. My room faced the courtyard and was very quiet.

The location was very convenient, right by the train station and just a short walk from the main square. I felt safe there at night as well as during the day.

My only complaint would be that the hotel was very hot! I always turned the heat off in my own room but it seemed that the heat was on everywhere else which made my room hot as well. It was just above freezing at night but I slept with the balcony doors open every night!

Altogether, I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely stay there again.
