Nice place to use as base for southern Tuscany.

We recently stayed in San Quirico D'Orcia for two nights. The hotel has nicely furnished rooms at two rates, the more expensive are worth the extra euros as they can be twice as large. The rooms up front face the alley and there can be noise, there is no air conditioning. The backrooms face a lovely grassy area where you can sit and eat. The town is cute and not touristy though they are trying. Greal locaton for touring Pienza, Montalcino, and Montelpulciano. Good typical tuscan food next door per Pauline (see Restaurant reviews).
