Nice, inexpensive hotel in a good location. {3 stars}

We were a bit torn when booking in Taormina. We knew we wanted to stay there for 4 nights and that hotels were pricey. We were looking for an inexpensive option and were nervous about booking this hotel because of the website. However, we were very happy with our choice once we arrived. The hotel is so much nicer than it looks on the website. They really need to update their pictures and perhaps add more.

The rooms are small but workable. We reserved a double with a view for 110 euro, which I thought was great for being in high season. We had a double bed, a comfortable chair, a desk, an armoire and a wall mounted tv with CNN international.

The bathroom was spacious and the shower was very nice. (Although it did leak a bit onto the bathroom floor.)

The view to the sea was fantastic.

They have a very nice breakfast room with an extensive spread. You can sit either inside the solarium or out on the patio.

The front desk staff was very helpful. They called a taxi for us when we were leaving, looked up train times for us when we were going to Syracusa and found out if there were still opera tickets available on the day of the performance.

And the thing that I really liked was the location. It is not on the main street but rather on the road into town. It was much quieter and less congested. The main street could get very busy during the day. We were close to the tram to the beach as well as to the bus station. And a two minute walk to the main section of the town.
