Relais dell'Osso is a lovely, historic residence located in the center of Acqui Terme. Staying there is a very special and wonderful experience.

The Relais dell'Osso is a very special B&B conveniently located in the historic center of Acqui Terme. It has three rooms: a single, a double and a suite that has two double beds as well as a sitting room.

We stayed in the room with one double bed but were able to see both of the other types of accommodation. They are all attractive and seem quite comfortable.

The bed in our room was very comfortable with lovely, lace trimmed sheets. The two nightstands have very good reading lamps. The bathroom is a nice size and has one window, a shower (no bathtub), bidet and a nice, big, deep sink.

There is a television and we were able to watch BBC as well as Italian programs. The rooms have individual thermostats for heating and air-conditioning.

Breakfast, which consists of juice, mineral water, coffee to order (I always had a delicious cappuccino), yogurt, fresh cornetti, jams, butter, occasional selections of cheese, is served in the main dining room of the restaurant (La Loggia - Caffe Concerto) which is part of the B&B. It is served by Carla, one of the charming owners.

I highly recommend both the inn and the restaurant (we ate two dinners there during our three night stay) and I consider this experience to be one of the highlights of our one month trip to Europe in October 2010.

Dinners at the La Loggia - Caffe Concerto are very special. The owners, Carla and her husband, Lele, are in the kitchen preparing delicious food, while their son, Matteo, waits on tables and, when he has a free moment, plays piano. The food is wonderful, prices moderate and, most importantly, the owners, Carla, Lele and Matteo are kind, gracious, friendly, talented and serve to make the experience truly outstanding.
