The B & B is run by Gaetano, Danato and their sister Barbara. You will never meet three more accommodating and friendly people in your life. They simply cannot stop helping if you ask for anything. This place is on the 3rd floor of a building not far from Piazza Repubblica, hence close to the Metro and a 10 min walk to Termini. The rooms are spacious, bright and airy (a/c in the summer) with a very large and modern bathroom including Jacuzzi tub. Rooms look out onto a quiet street or a courtyard. They keep fresh flowers in the rooms and the lobby which is very noticable when you enter. Pietro, the night attendant, is an Italian gentleman crafted from the old days. A delightful man who serves a wonderful breakfast spread each morning with very good (and hot) coffee. This is a place I would rush back to upon my return to Rome. The cost was €185,00 nightly and if memory serves me correctly it is rated a 3 star hotel. Do yourself a real favor and treat yourself to this family's generous hospitality. You won't be disappointed. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
