Clean, central, cheap - BUT depressing!

This hotel is an old Convent right in the centre of Ferrara. The location is great; the building is also amazing. The hotel is quite cheap. The rooms have en-suite brand new bathrooms and they are really clean.

The problem with this hotel is that I found it really depressing! Beds are really short and not good, the furniture is ugly (personal point of view, I agree, but this is what a review is about, isn't it?), the chairs' seats were wrapped in plastic and my single room looked down to a tiny courtyard with huge trash bins in it.

Breakfast was coffee coming out of a machine, dreadful Ferrarese bread (normally I really like Ferrarese bread) and mostly packaged goods.

The really sad thing is that the building is really really nice and that they actually ruined the place!

Anyway, if you only need to sleep in Ferrara and don't mind having breakfast somewhere else this place at least is central, silent and clean.
