Wonderful, peaceful retreat with friendly, helpful owners.

This agriturismo is located on top of a hill about 5 km south of Caltanissetta, in central Sicily. Sylvia and Bruno, the owners, operate a working organic farm - olives, wheat, chickpeas and almonds are the primary products, and they sell the products on site.

There are two apartments and (I think) two single rooms available. A wonderful, filling breakfast is available every morning and dinner when you request it. Outside your door is a relaxing veranda, a pool and (best of all) an incomparable vista.

There were four of us - me and my three children, ages 8,4, and 17. The little boys had a wonderful time - especially with the dogs! - and my daughter and I appreciated the hospitality, the friendship and the opportunity to relax.

The agriturismo is easy driving distance from many sites, including Agrigento. Mount Etna and Cefalu were lengthier daytrips, but still doable.

Sylvia gives fantastic advice regarding day trips and travel. We loved our stay at the Sillitti farm and truly look forward to returning.
