A beautiful haven outside of Naples. My favorite place to stay when I am in Napoli. A restored farmhouse with splendid hostess, staff, gardens and rooms!

I travel to Naples quite often bringing small groups of artists to experience this wonderful city. Villa Giulia is a welcome haven after the hustle of Naples and the Campania region. Giulia Carunchio, the hostess and owner, created the most beautiful spot in the region.

The villa itself is a lovingly-restored farmhouse with lovely artwork and furnishings. Rooms have all of the modern conveniences and are decorated beautifully.

From the rooftop terrace, my friends and I sat and drank wine and overlooked the sea and the ancient ruins of Cumae. There is a swimming pool and the gardens are just heaven to relax in with a good book.

Giulia is a wonderful hostess who speaks English (lived in London for many years) who makes you feel as if you are a guest in her home not in a hotel. She is also a great cook! I just love this place and plan to return for many years!
