The Villa Pisani is a 600-year-old villa, a real one, with a beautiful English garden.

Vescovana is a little town about 30 minutes south of Padua. We had a few difficulties finding the hotel, as it's hidden next to the city park, off highway A13. The villa is managed by Mrs. Scalabrin herself, who met us at the gate and directed us to park our car within the villa grounds.

Positives: Beautiful room filled with antiques, the entire grounds to ourselves (even though there were a few other guests, we rarely saw them), peace and quiet. Negatives: NOT a place for kids, no modern conveniences beyond the limited bathroom (meaning, no air conditioning, T.V., internet, phones in the room, etc.).

Wonderful breakfast downstairs in the morning. A beautiful place in the country, filled with history.
