A perfect location for a stay in Lucca - especially if you're driving. A very comfortable small hotel.

Villa Romantica was recommended on this site and I thought, “corny name” but it did meet my requirements so we booked. I want to say how perfect it was.

First of all, it was a quick walk from the old city within the fabled walls, but not INSIDE those walls. As travelers with luggage and a car, this was great. We could park easily and we didn’t have to negotiate the narrow streets in search of our hotel. The walk from the hotel to the walled city was quite fun, as we entered through a narrow pedestrian passageway that felt medieval.

The hotel was extraordinarily clean and comfortable. Our room (#2 I believe) was huge. It was decorated in a lovely way and it was very, very quiet.

The hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly. English was spoken. The breakfast offered a variety of choices and was great, with wonderful coffee, made to order. Given our experience, we would say that it was a very good value, and we would stay there again if we were in Lucca.

Best place we've ever been to. We thought the property was absolutely beautiful, the hosts friendly and professional. P.S. The pool is fresh and cool!
