We were told to arrive before 1pm. We left Naples in the morning and were pleased to be able to arrive ahead of schedule at 11am. Via Nazionale is a busy street, so we double parked and started ringing the buzzer expecting a porter to arrive promptly. There was no answer until 1 hour later. By then, we had been driving around trying to decide whether to book another hotel. When we finally were able to enter, we were not at all pleased with the place, and we were told that we could not see our room because it was still occupied. Why then were we told to arrive before 1pm? Was this just to suit their own schedule, collect their money, and have us wait until they were ready to serve us? The experience was very infuriating. In addition, the rates are not cheap (115 euros per night). As far as security goes, there is no staff on hand most of the time.
