This comfortable business hotel is a short walk (10-15 minutes) from the train station and the historic city center. {3 stars}

We spent six nights in two rooms at this pleasant three-star hotel on the central business street of Bologna between the train station and the city center.

The rooms were comfortable and clean with windows that opened (no screens) and individual climate control. The bathrooms had hair dryers and there was a TV and good closet space and a desk.

Breakfast is served from 7 until 10:30 and includes a full selection of fresh juice, cereal, fruit, meats and cheese, croissants, and pastries. Coffee is available from a machine or by order from the hostess. There is also a bar in the evening.

The immediate neighborhood is filled with excellent restaurants, especially as you move off the main street to the east towards the university.

On Fridays and Saturdays there is a fascinating flea market on the piazza on the side of the hotel.

The rate for the double room (booked through Venere.com) was E130 - less than half the rate posted on the door.
