See Naples and Die! Closing Thoughts and Resources

Kevin Clark

By now, I hope I have persuaded readers that there really is more to see in the Naples area than the Museo Archeologico and that it's worth more than a passing visit on a day trip to Pompeii, though I've done little more than touch the surface of this great city and surrounding region. I've focused on the sights to be seen here, but at least as interesting and worth experiencing are the liveliness of the streets and the overall atmosphere of the city. It's easy to pass a day (or many) just wandering around and watching what goes on around you. The street life of Naples is like nothing you'll experience anywhere in Italy - or the world, for that matter.

Come to Naples and see for yourself!

Resources

In addition to standard guidebooks for Italy, such as the Michelin Green Guide Italy or the Eyewitness Guide Italy, the following are good references for travelers in the Naples area. Some are widely available while others may only be available locally.
