Centrally located bar/cafe with good food and charm.

This charming cafe was recommended to us by our tour guide, Holly, at The Original & Best Walking Tours of Florence. Location was very central; it is between the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery. Downstairs is a bar, upstairs there are a few tables, where the decor seemed more like someone's home. Service was quick, which was good since we were between tours and only had an hour for lunch. For less-adventureous eaters, this is an excellent restaurant choice. There were lots of salads, panini and pastas on the menu.

I had the fresh mozzarella, tomato & basil pannino (good). My mother had the couscous platter with grilled vegetables (I kindly helped her finish this since it was delicious!). My sister Becky had the quiche (looked good, and she said it was very good), and my sister Rachel and niece Sarah shared a turkey panino (they liked it, but it looked a bit dull to me). Lunch for the five of us, with 4 plates and mineral water, was 31 euros.
