Delightful, elegant seafood restaurant near the Wagner Metro station

We spent part of a very rainy November morning looking for a spot for lunch after exploring the extensive produce market near the Wagner Metro stop. We stumbled on the very attractive Al Mozzo completely by chance.

We began by sharing an order of warm seafood antipasto. Jane is starting to acquire a taste for the tiny deep fried fish despite their heads.

Jane followed this with a Sicilian inspired dish of gnocchi with tuna, olives, capers, and tomatoes. I had huge plate of fritto misto which featured most of the little fried fish.

For dessert we shared a plate of frutti di bosco with lemon gelato. This was a quite generous serving of raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Based on their cost we had just seen at the market this was a very reasonably priced dessert.

With water and a bottle of Prosecco the bill was 91 euros. This is not unreasonable for a nice lunch in Milan but was one of the pricier meals of our trip. In addition to a nice memory of a good meal on a rainy day we also have the kilo of Grana Padano we bought at the market.
