A place to sit and people watch or to take a break from shopping.

Directions: In the main square.

Located in Piazza Umberto, this is yet another place to sit and people watch on this glitzy island. It is said to be the oldest bar in the square. The table cloths are currently terracotta brown, under big sail umbrellas. It’s got a very attractive outdoor set up. We sat facing the church.

Must have been an off day for the barista as the cappuccino was not at all impressive. The croissants were good, though. There is a good restroom inside up the top of the stairs where there is a terrace so you can have a look out over the piazza while you are up there. Cappuccino and croissant for two was 12€ in October 2006.
