Simple, delicious meal. Nice people.

I ate there alone on my first night in Todi, after a long trip from the States and to Todi via 3 trains. I got there early -- the first diner. The staff was very welcoming, and we had a long discussion about what to eat. After a half order of pasta with truffle sauce, I followed their recommendation of beef with arugula and juniper berries. Delicious.

The next night I ate with a group in a much fancier restaurant, and the host had ordered the same beef dish for us all. Not nearly as good, and surely more expensive.

Very tasty trattoria food in a small, simple restaurant. Sweet staff, inexpensive prices.

Directions: Going from top of the funiculare to Piazza del Popolo, the small restaurant is on the right before the Church of San Fortunato.

Typical Umbrian preparations on the short menu, all freshly prepared and of very good quality. The pastas are all good, and the grilled filet with truffles was better than the one I had a much more expensive restaurant. Run by some very nice people. Small outside eating area.
