Directions: Opposite church of San Giorgio Maggiore After a morning of tramping around Spaccanapoli, we headed for this spot, the closest on our restaurant list. It was a Friday and the small premises were crowded with local business types enjoying a boisterous lunchtime. After a 25-minute "diece-minuta" wait out in the hot piazetta, we finally got seated. Never was a bottle of aqua frizzante more welcome! My wife liked the penne ala pomodoro fresco and daughter enjoyed penne all'arrabbiatta, while I tried the traditional linguine con vongole, a bit on the salty side. With salads and tiramsu, the tab came to 33E for the 3 of us. (Also open for dinner 7:30pm-midnight). This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
