A pizzeria with alot of press but doesn't deliver.

Pizzeria Brandi has been written up in many guide books and magazines as one of "the" places to go for the "real" Neapolitan pizza experience. And, true enough there are photos of the rich and famous who have eaten there adorning the walls (Pavoratti wearing a large, flat woolen beret, for example).

While the atmosphere was pleasant enough and the waiters eager to please we felt that the food was less than what it's written up to be. Perhaps we were a bit jaded having had many days prior filled with pizzas from one end of Naples to the other before venturing into Brandi. I don't know. But compared to say, Pizzeria Aiello across the street from the Archeological Museum, Brandi falls flat.
