A comfortable place we always seem to return to for it's warm service and good pizza and pasta.

My sister-in-law introduced me to this restuarant on my very first trip to Venice. This was the first place I ate pizza in Italy, and I think you always set your standards for Italian pizza based on your first pizza there. So, of course I could be biased, but I think the pizza is wonderful here. Nothing compares to the first bite of my first pizza, but subsequent visits have continued to please me.

I've been to Venice four times now, and either the owner is friendly to everyone, or he actually remembers us each time... in any event, we always feel extremely welcome here. The dining room is not very big, and they do squeeze you in, but I've never felt uncomfortable.

I usually get the margherita pizza, my sister-in-law loves their Quattro Stagione pizza, my husband likes the Pizza Diavola (with a spicy salami), and my kids can't get enough of the Spaghetti Carbonara. I've tried it... it's awesome. We usually share a mixed antipasti plate of seafood which we let the owner choose for us, and it's good. Love the sarde en saor here. The house wine is decent enough.

With the bill, you will receive a bag or two of their signature cookies with a business card attached. A nice end to a good meal AND a souvenir!
