The food here is good and made more so by the charm of the owner, Ottello. He doesn't speak English but conversing with him is easy anyway. He is a real charmer.

Directions: The restaurant is on the right as you walk down the main street of Centro Storico of San Donato.

We were here for lunch, only one other couple that day so we had ample time to enjoy Ottello. He took over the ordering for us and it was good.

As usual for lunch we kept to an antipasto and primi. We had a spinach ravioli which was exceptionally good and another pasta which was good (but I don't remember what it was.) The restaurant is large with several rooms. Ottello has many pictures commemorating the famous and not so famous people who have eaten there. Son Luigi does speak English.
