good Dorsoduro bar open early!

Directions: Past Hotel Galleria walking towards the Zattere it is on the first street, turn left

We like this place.It is open early, for sure by 6 AM maybe earlier. we got our coffee there before early moring runs and on our departure day. Friendly couple who owns the place. Name Gino from his father. Good neighborhood bar!

Nice bar with friendly owners and great snacks

Bar da Gino is in Dorsoduro in between the Accademia and the Guggenheim museum. I learned about this place from reading Trek Capri’s 2007 Venice trip report. This was her neighborhood place, and she loved the staff, the food and the atmosphere. I stopped in one afternoon and had a snack and a Spritz. The folks were so nice, the panini was great, and the Spritz was awesome! I sat down for a while and rested my feet (no table charge either). It’s a great place to hang out and people-watch.
