Directions: About a 10 - 15 minute taxi ride from Piazza Maggiore Biagi has been in its location since 1937 and is considered one of the purest examples of Bolognese cuisine in Bologna. Small and inviting, it caters to Italians, there are no menus in English, and only Italian was spoken the night we were there. This gave us the perfect opportunity to use our Italian. The Confraterite di Tagliatelle dined at a table next to us, indicative that this place certainly conforms to the highest standards and traditions of Bolognese pasta. As soon as our wine was served, we were brought two complimentary antipasti - a bowl of cooked greens and bowl of baked eggplant, both seasoned only with a little olive oil. We each ordered a different pasta, and all were excellent. Reasonable prices. Reservations are suggested. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
