Uffizi: CAFFE: Rivoire

Piazza Signoria

Reviewed by: Colleen from CA (moderator), review #575

When: 2003

THE place for coffee or tea (or pastries) in the Piazza!

I love Rivoire's caffe con panna (thick cream), and their tramezzini make for a nice little nibble in mid-afternoon. The coveted outdoor tables are perfect for people watching when you need a break from Florence's cobblestone streets and its museums' marble floors. Inside, be prepared for small tables packed closely together. Wherever you sit, the busy white jacketed waiters do a great job of making sure you have what you need without making you feel rushed.

Famous caffe on the Piazza della Signoria with the Uffizi Museum and the copy of the Michelangelo's David statue.
