Ortisei: Cena Four

A very contemporary looking room upstairs in a hotel across from the information office.

We found that most restaurants in Ortisei were rather empty. This may be because people have full or half board hotel arrangements, apartments, or are just too tired to eat after hiking all day. One of our criteria for choosing a place for dinner was that it had other people in it; we don't like eating alone in a restaurant.

Cena Four is located on the second floor of a hotel across from the information office. It is a large open room with blond wood and a nice semi-circular bar on one side. There were people in this place - at least when we got there. We would have been the only ones left if a couple of guys had not come in as we were finishing.

We each ordered a pasta dish, which we usually share, but they all sounded so good. We had nice tagliaroni con zucci e gamberetti, and papardelle con funghi porcini. This was accompanied with a litre of house sauvignon blanc. We should have ordered "uno per due" and then gotten the delicious sounding duck after the pasta, but we were too full.
