After an enthusiastic welcome and a refreshing drink four of us were given a tour of the farm, the view, the animals, gardens, pool and very tasteful guest quarters. We then gathered with other guests in the bar area sharing stories of our travels and drive up to Contrada Durano. Moving on to the elegant dining room Jimmy and Concetta treated us to five courses of the most delicious and unique preparations. Jimmy served and told stories about the Marche region and Concetta described the food and preparation. Fresh and local are key requirements and include a variety of fruits and vegetables, cured and roasted meats, fish, funghi, cheeses and herbs. The wines were all local and superb. Concetta's cooking is so creative - each dish a unique taste treat. If possible, we would go weekly, at least, to Contrada Durano!
