Parma: Corale G. Verde

Don't miss the "torta fritta". Little pillows of fried bread with antipasti hams and salamis. Very enjoyable, cucina tipica Parmigiana. 75/ 4 with wine.

Directions: Near the Parco Ducale, just to the south. Very near The Toscanini house.

We loved our lunch at the very local Corale G Verdi.

The Torta fritta were delicious as were the prosciutto crudo and cotto and salami with it. We also ate fabulous gnocchi with a very rich gorgonzola sauce, duck breast with perfect balsamic sauce, traditional tortelli di patate with mushroom sauce and tortelli ala zucca (too sweet for me).

We enjoyed a nice bottle of Malvasia frizzante wine for only 8 and coffee, too. The inside was very pretty with art on the walls and the service was welcoming and friendly after we had waited for a table for a while (15 minutes?).
