Not worth locating, yuck

We spent some time locating this Fred Plotkin-recommended gelateria in beautiful Noto, Sicily. According to his write up in "Italy for the Gourmet Traveler," this has Italy's best gelato. Actually, it was probably our worst gelato in 40 days of travel throughout Italy. Not only was it soft, but the flavors were actually difficult to digest.

In particular the tangerine and rose, both recommended by Plotkin, were practically inedible. Rose is an acquired taste, but this was like eating perfume; try the Rose at the Cremeria Montforte in Rome instead, which is far better. We ended up throwing half of it it out!
