Good food and service. Reasonable prices.

Directions: On the waterfront.

On a Monday evening, five of us staying in Taormina decided to hop in the car and head for dinner in Giardini Naxos. We got stuck behind a long line of cars going verrry s-l-o-w-l-y. We called it the "car passeggiata." :) We finally turned off the main street, and when we found a parking spot - we stopped. Luckily, da Lino's was a good find.

(We were amused when Nancy observed that after all the time we'd spent researching restaurants and comparing recommendations ... we'd ended up at a restaurant because it had parking!!)

There were tables in front of the restaurant covered by an awning, a main dining room, and a small back room - where we sat. The specialties were seafood; the menu was quite extensive. I had a good pasta and shrimp dish. The others also liked their food very much. We ordered a carafe of red wine and a carafe of white wine, and bottled water. Prices were very reasonable (€20 or less/person).

It was a quiet night (mid-week, mid-March) so not many other tables were filled. Not sure that has anything to do with the quality of service, but our server and the other wait staff took good care of us.
