OK meal, pleasant service, but nothing special.

Directions: One minute walk up from the main square.

Based on an earlier review, we had lunch here. It was a quiet, late September afternoon and only two other tables were occupied. We were served promptly, had two good pasta dishes, two dismal salads, two espressos, water, and one glass of wine. The bill came to no more than 35 euros. For us, it was an adequate feeding, nothing more.

Fun, family run ristorante serving Perugia specialties

This was one of the restaurants recommended by our guide for inexpensive, well prepared food specializing in local dishes. No particular ambience except for it's welcoming and funny staff where my Italian got a work-out. Certainly one of the waiters/owners could speak enough English if someone was about to order something he didn't approve of! When one of the group ordered rigatoni with tomato sauce he would ask why would you have something you could eat at home?-and steered many in the group to a 3 course lunch of different variations of beans, in a soup, a stew like dish and a farro dish. It was very different and very good. When another friend tried to have me order a saugage and bean dish as an side dish to his pasta, he said he would end up in the hospital and refused to seve it much to our amusement!

I had the pasta with spicy tomato sauce which was the best of this trip. The house rosso was good and the whole meal was inexpensive. Just what we were looking for: an inexpensive, family style ristorante serving good, fresh, local dishes.
